(For North American readers: in Europe sunroof-equipped 968s are often referred to as "Targa" since the sunroof is so large. This would confuse North Americans as they never refer to a sunroof 968 as a Targa.) Yes, the sunroof was optional on the CS. It was uncommon but there are a few. I do not know if the sunroof was available with a rollcage. ![]() It is a real CS. Has the standard hardback seats, crank windows, no airbags, console delete, early door panels, no tumbler for hatch (interior release). ![]() ![]() On an original rollcage car, the factory used a Matter rollcage which of course fits in non-sunroof cars. I am not sure if it works with a sunroof. There are a few sunroof-CS's with an aftermarket rollcage (not Matter). This is mostly irrelevant though because as far as I know the Matter rollcage is no longer available. Many aftermarket cages can be designed (or have an option) for sunroof cars. In North America 90% of the cars have a sunroof. Many people put a rollcage in a car that has a sunroof. Also, if you are very tall I would advise you first sit in the car wearing a helmet: some people (who are very tall above the waist) complain about headroom on sunroof-equipped cars. A non-sunroof car provides slightly increased headroom. Last edited by FrenchToast; 10-05-2017 at 02:30 PM.. |

That said, this topic has been discussed before and it was thought that there is no great weight savings or structural rigidity gain for having sunroof delete. |
