To keep things interesting......

Heres a Preview of my up and coming desktops.....

Enjoy!!-chris

PS-I just bought a 94 Jetta III with 72000 miles on her, I paid about 4300 for it, 17 white rims, intake and s/s exhuast..It was off a friend who I had installed all the stuff for and pretty much know the car was taken care of and babied..pics will soon follow...
Anyone familiar with these cars..thier weaknesses and or common probs? I went to VWvortex.com which is a great site but the focus on body kist and rims...kinda seems like a place for 17yr olds to show of thier rims...you guys seem to be a boit more knowledgeable..and info would be appreciated..-chris

For the Jetta and Golf IIIs, VW switched to a water based paint. They didn't get it right till 97, and are well know to oxidize in a bad way. The motors are tough, but slow. Like all VWs the upper strut bearing is suspect in any suspension noise. I owned three Mark III cars and enjoyed them all.

Oh also, its good to hear about the III's, how are they with timing belts ect and auto transmissions...? and the fact that they are so slow just makes the 44 so much more fun....I just deoxidized the car and put a coat of zymol on the car....zymol allways seems to work miracles....the jetta is a nice car to cruise in and travel in...thats about it...-chris

Chris,
How about: "If it's not a blur, you're holding the camera steady!"

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Its not bad...

Use a tripod for overexposures....

Also play with the arpeture...

I am assuming you are using a 35 mm camera?

If its a digital camera its as good as its gonna get unless u get a high end digital...

I actually like the ..........uhmmm can't remember ...I think it was the rear wheel well of a 996??? It was silver. (on your site).. looking down on the black and white tile floor....that one has potential.... except there were other things in the shot that were distracting.

"Artsy for the sake of artsy is fartsy" -something an art history professor told me once...

... the images are kinda cool, but I'd rather see some nice big pictures of Porsches that are taken with a careful eye, a good camera, and processed correctly. The ones on your site with the 944 and VR4 head-on and back to back are much better than these 'artsy' shots, IMO. So far the best Porsche photography I've seen has been in GT (too bad the content of the articles is terrible) and EVO (all-around great magazine).

I stick to my old slr camera's. I have a cannon ae-1 I have had since I was born. (hand me down from the mom) and it works wonders. I have a ton of lenses and flashes etc etc and they seem to pretty cheap for the old camera's and mine takes just as good pics any other camera out there. Well as far as 35mm goes that is.
