I have an engine from a late '85 944 I'm parting out. 140k miles on it, ran really great before the accident (which did not affect the engine at all) I can't even begin to imagine how expensive it would be to ship to Chile!
email me, jleblanc@Real.com if you're interested.

Hi Wardog....
http://www.fedex.com/us/rates/services/ifreight.html?link=4#zoneID Its going to be expensive..... I cant figure out the rate... but it ranges from ~2 to 4.50 / lb so lets say it weighs 500 pounds with packaging... ~1000 - 2250 U.S........... and in pesos thats about as much as some people make a year in chile...... ![]()

Think you'd need to call around on that one.

I have an 87 engine, but, I think shipping will be a problem.
Is it not possible to find an engine in Chile? It may be cheaper in the long run to just buy another 944 locally. By the time you add up buying the engine, shipping and the labor to remove the old one and put in the new one. If you still want to do it, I am in Richmond, Virginia. Area code 23060 if you want to figure up the shipping. These engines weigh 400 lbs. Is your engine not repairable? That may be the simplest solution. Best of luck to you.
