You need a new rubber on the windshield channel. The old ones get destroyed when you remove the old glass. I got one from Pelican,it was a nos part from Germany. Took a couple of weeks to get it. Glass shops try to level out the glass with sealer. I'm guessing your windshield channel is the same depth or is it different on the 924

Raymond,

thanks for that very one of the threads shows two rubbers the one in your picture that goes on the inside which effectively raises the screen up and one that goes on the edge of the screen to the body on the outside, by what I understand the later screens have this internal rubber already bonded to the screen.

would you happen to know the part number for this rubber

cheers

Gary

The outer molding holds in place on it. I don't believe they're available. My new aftermarket glass didn't come with it. My outer molding is going on with sealer
