Now that I have my 924S running, I have noticed a squealing that wasn't there before I replaced my strut inserts. The car sat for some months while I sorted through all of the other issues. Perhaps the suspension bushings have shrunk? They only seem noisy when turning the wheel and backing up or barely moving forward, then the noise abates

The car is most likely sitting at a different angle, so the bushings may be in the process of taking a set. The other (and I hope wrong) thought is that on new suspension bushings, people will sometimes tighten them with the suspension in full droop on jacks, then let the car down and promptly tear every bushing rubber part free the first time they drive over a good bump that brings the suspension to full compression. They're designed to be tightened on the ground and then move through a few degrees of suspension movement up and down from that center.

I wouldn't worry too much. If it bugs you, shoot some silicone on them one at a time until you find the culprit.

Have you checked to make sure that none of the brake dust shields are making contact with a brake rotor? Squealing while turning and squealing when backing up or at low speeds are common signs that a dust shield got ever so slightly tweaked and is making contact with a rotor.
