Fuel Sender Hose Leak?

So, I went ahead and replaced my old fuel sender with a new one, and while my gauge finally has an accurate reading, I've got myself a new problem. There's fuel pooling in the fuel sender "well" area on top of the tank. I originally thought it was one of the original hoses since I damaged it while removing it. I've since swapped that out with a brand new hose, but the leak is still there.

I've watched the hoses while the car was parked as my wife revved the engine. No fuel spurting out of them at all. My "test" has been a quick run around the block, and sure enough, the puddle starts to form, so it's only happening whenever I'm actually driving. I might just go ahead and remove the sender again and see if I somehow messed something up when I installed it.

Any other ideas out there?

Son of a...
Well, that's what I get for not paying attention to the old sender unit. Thank goodness I didn't toss it out yet. I took the seal off the old sender and put it on the new one, looked like it was still good, and it turns out that it is!

Thanks for asking the "dumb" question, I'm gas-pool free now.
