Help with brake master cylinder

Just bought my first Porsche and am very confused with the 944's brake master cylinder. I have a 1988, with a Girling MC and booster. The MC still works but since the car has been sitting for years , I'm redoing the entire hydraulic system. I wanted to rebuild the MC but can't find a Girling rebuild kit. So, now I'm going to have to get a new MC. I opted for an ATE brand but then read where it only works with an ATE booster. I can't find a new Girling MC. What is the actual truth? Can I use an ATE or do I need to find a Girling? Does anyone know where I can get a Girling rebuild kit or Girling MC. Thanks.
