Gas Prices!!!!

Just wondering what your prices are up to for a gallon of 93 these days. Damn IRAQ!!!! 1.99......almost 2.00!!!! I found a spot with 1.93 Chevron. Hey, are some of the stations not going to be affected by the crisis because they get their oil else where? Is anybody being affected or is this just a new high?

Yeah, we are really feeling the effects in Canada. Our prices in BC are about $.94-$.98 a liter so that is about $3.80 a gallon for 94
89 is anywhere from $.79-$.89 a liter so about $3.20 a gallon

What amazes me is that people complain about $2.00 a gallon for gasoline, but then gladly spend $8.00 a gallon for bottled water. Can't quite understand that.

many socialist governments in europe tax the heck out of the people, gas included. $4/gallon is a price i've heard. so here, $2 doesn't seem so bad.

green944, can you cross the us border to fill her up?

Thankfully yes, I actually work across the street from the border.
Have to go down and see what it would cost to fill up with the exchange.

Most people don't use 20 gallons of bottled water a week.

I spent a lot of money in bottled water.
But I still spent a lot more in gasoline.

yes, the botled water everyday is more expensive and nobody say anything. And if the price of gasoline clims a little everybody is talking about it,

I have a feeling that this whole gas hike thing is less a middle east thing directly as it is a ploy by the oil companies to get people to hate the middle east, so that this dirty little war seems somehow justified.

Oh gag me!

The one's making all the money are the oil suppliers. Who do you think controls the price of crude oil???

Do you also think it's an oil company conspiracy when the prices drop really low?

Didn't think so.

Conspericy or no, doesn't it seem a bit strange that prices are going up very rapidly and the only thing happening in iraq are inspections?

Quotes for the day:
"Except for Communism, Facism, Nazism and Slvery, war has never solved anything!"

"Saddam only kills his own people, it's none of our business!"

"Communism has only killed 100 million people, lets give it another chance!"

These statements were on signs carried in San Fransisco during a rally, makes you think....

Now, where did I put my Nomex...

I do not attribute much of it as a "corporate conspiracy"....but rather, it is simply plain ole greediness...here is an interesting Feb 12 article that explains it all...

Rapid increase in price of gas borders on gouging, AAA says:

Iraq could pump more but it's restricted by UN sanctions.
