Hey all, I finally got my 924S put together! here's the finished pic.

Here's my question. I was wondering if it is legal/possible to get some TYPE (not from europe) of european liscense plate that you can use as your US plate? Do they make euro style plates that are legal in the states? I would really like to get a set being since my car isn't registered, liscensed, or insured yet (I am not driving it yet). If you know where/how I can get these type of plates, please let me know. YES, I said Please! Cody |

First of all. there are no dumb or stupid questions. We all started asking uninformed questions at one time or another. You have a very nice clean vehicle. That is sharp. I like the dark tint on the back windows. Personally, the only thing I have heard in the US, is that it is not allowed to have foreign plates on your car. But the laws change from time to time in different places. Im just happy that our plates here in the US are much smaller than most european plates I did notice that in 911 and Porsche World mag that they are for sale and I have seen dual licenses on foreign cars ( not necessarily Porsche). Welcome to the Boards

Nice looking car. You could get Dutch plates saying whatever you want. A guy in Canada who caters to Citroën 2CVs (my other car) sells them for about $25. Not US legal, but if your state only requires plates in the back you could put these on the front. Here is a link:

http://www.canada-shops.com/stores/willem/ There are web sites that sell true EU plates, white with blue patch on left, country letter, and the circle of stars Gene

ok, I live In Iowa. They require us to have plates both in the rear and in the front. That is a real bummer!

I really want this car to look as euro as possible. The easiest/most economical way is to have a euro plate. Maybe I can find some german car racing decals that I can put on the rear without it looking tacky. Hmm, a rock and a hardplace.

I wouldn't bother putting stickers on at all. I would be tempted to actually debadge my car, I like the clean look. |

I think he means taking off the 944 badge, or 924 in your case, off the back, not removing the crest. I have a "D" sticker on my rear hatch at the top in the middle and I really like it there. Other than that I'd keep the car sticker free. Oh yeah I have a PCA sticker in one of my rear quarter windows.
