{The overKILL Show} Episode 3 - Putting her back together,................. again.

Ok, well,... here where I stand. I cleaned and resealed my oil cooler. I boiled the housing tha the exchanger and that cleaned it up and out REAL good!!! All of this crap came out of the exchanger. If I could boil all my parts I would Anyways, my oil cooler is the CLEANEST parts on my engine right now. I oiled the cylinder walls and cranked the engine by hand a couple of time to lube the walls up real good. I cleaned the mating surfaces off real good then placed the head gasket down. I cranked the head down in sequence from in to out using the 3 stage method,...

1st: 20nm
2nd: 90deg
3rd: 90deg

All is good right now. I bought a new oil filter and copper single tip OEM plugs for the car. I have to install the starter too. Keep you posted.

err - if you were a comedian, would your show be a comedy of errors??? (ouch - I apologize already).

I hope that it fires on the first turn of the key - and that you like it so much you keep the car!

Keep us posted!

Hmmm...
You are amassing a huge amount of O.J.T. which "should" yield a large sum of $ considering all of the time and effort you've put into this project.
Y'know?..it's sort of a crime that you do'nt have a personality disorder, if you had 2 people living in your head, one (the mechanic) could charge the other (consumer, leadfoot) for all of the work on the car, and you both could get something out of this. I think that this would be good for both of you, that is if there were 2 of you involved here. hehe..

Great job and keep your chin up, just don't quit, keep plugging away..
