brake hose question.

Haven't been over her for a while but I have a 88NA 944 and I have a hose under the hood that connects to the master cylinder res. that is falling apart. My guess is that it's the return line from the ABS pump but I'm not sure. It's a bigger cloth/rubber hose.I want to replace it as it's in really bad shape . Can anyone confirm If my guess is right and what it's called and where to et it. Thanks in advance RT

Is it the clutch master cylinder line?

sounds like the blue (or black) fluid hose from the brake reservoir down to the clutch master cylinder.

if you can find a local classic Volkswagen shop they should have the appropriate replacement hose on hand, sold by the foot.

YUP, just went out with a flashlight and it goes to the clutch master cylinder. I couldn't see it before. I thought it went through the fire wall. Thanks again. Heading to the local vw shop in the morning. On a side note I once mistakenly used hose like this for gas line. OH what a mistake that was.
