Sport Seats Stuck in Forward Recline
1990 944s2 Cab
the Handles work so the cables aren't the issue - the Drivers seat is in full forward recline would be happy if I could get in back into a driving position |

Have you tried the lower inside handle down below center tunnel lever? Get another hand and play with both upper and lower handles while pushing seat down to try and release lock

I know earlier seats have that release but I don't think mine do. They are original to the car

The lever you are pushing with your screwdriver is replicated on the other side. Might try pulling both up at the same time. If that does not work release it I’m stumped. You can take the back off of the bottom by removing the pivot bolt and pin. It’s small Allen bolt inside the pivot hole. Does it feel like both sides are stuck or just one? Perhaps something small got into the locking cog and bound it.

There’s a recline and forward handle down bye tunnel on right side of that seat at base. It’s a long plastic lever there that operates it forward and recline back!!!

I have owned dozens of Porsches ( mostly older ones) and never knew what that lever was for |
