Parting out: '90 944S2 with 41k miles

I'm parting out my wrecked '90 944S2 with 41k original miles.
The car was wrecked hard on the driver's side door, fender, and A pillar.
Engine and wiring harness already sold.
Just about everything else is for sale, (tranny, wheels, suspension, etc) and of course, most parts are in excellent shape, especially the interior (dash is NOT cracked, seats are LIKE NEW).
Please don't ask if I have the little knobs from the climate control or dome light in the glove box. Minimum order is $200.
The car is champagne (Zermatt silver?) with black leather interior.

It's too late to get the cab from nejem to fix mine. (I can't put a 130k mile engine in a 41k mile car). And my car was wrecked HARD.
His car has minor damage compared to mine.
I have the parts for his cab if he wants to fix it, (if anyone's interested) guess he just wants to sell it.

half axles

I would be interested in the half-axle assemblies (assuming they are good and assuming they will work on my 951.

Thanks,

Yes, the axles are good, and yes, they will work on your 951.
The seats are power (black leather).

I'm trying to find an S2 head . I just need the bare head but if the price is right I'll take the whole thing. I live in Birmingham so I could drive over and pick it up, cut me a good deal and I'll take it out myself. It will only take me a couple of hours tops.

Hmmmm.............A good deal on a S2 head..........I never heard of such a thing! I have a 968 head with a missing cam.
I'll take $1900 for it.

$1900 for one of these 968 Head ?

It wouldn't work anyway the 968 head has different water passages and the cams are a different profile because of the variocam. If it did I would have bought the one on Ebay.

$1900 Really? Ian's quoted me a price of $1500 on a low mileage complete head. $2500 for a completely rebuilt one. Oh well, thanks anyway.

Obviously if the head is complete, you can MAKE it work. The 968 head has 2 water channels that are slightly different in size, but if a 968 head gasket is used, it would not be a problem. Yeah, the cams are a different profile, (but who would complain about more HP???) You can either set the Variocam to stay in it's low lift or high lift setting (depending on if you're after low-end or top-end power).
$800 is a damn good deal, you'd better jump on it before it's too late! (That guy must be desperate to sell)

Thanks for the info. I had no idea that it could work because I had been told it wouldn't. When you set the variocam, do you have to manually set it and forget it? I'm still a little in the dark on this so I want to find out as much as I can before I make a decision.

You can set it manually and forget it (high-lift setting), or simply unplug it and it will stay in it's low-lift setting.

Sorry! I replied to a post started by "nejem". Anyway, he sold his 944S2 cab, but if you're interested in the wheels, I still have mine. The car has 41k miles on it.
