I have several of the late one piece OPRV. Is it the early '87 conversion or the late style? Do you have a picture of your old one?

Thanks for your reply. My son & I rebuilt the engine over the summer. Bought it for a good price and included an '83 donor engine. '87 had spun #2 rod. Wondering if stuck valve was cause of engine failure since it was well maintained...

I'm getting about 3.0 bar at idle (cold) with one piece valve and it never goes higher than 3.5 with more RPMs. If I install the plunger style OPRV from the '83, I get about 4.5bar @ idle cold, but after it warms up, it drops to about 1 bar and warning lights come on... So I know the pump/gauge works.

Tried to clean center orifice on valve, but it still not getting correct pressure. Also got new O-rings. Removed valve cover plug and I'm getting oil in camshaft.

I believe I have the valve with no corrosion treatment. Engine # is 43H05210. I believe the updated once started at engine 43H05373 (getting info from Clark's Garage).

Including a picture I found in the Tech section. My valve looks like Fig. B...

It has been frustrating... He's turning 16 next week and I wanted to have the car on the road for him.

Do you have enough info? If not, I can try to get a pix.

Thanks!

So your motor has the type like on the right and when you put one like on the left in it works better? The one on the right is out of engine # 43H 12102 and I have another out of 43H 12530. Both would be correct for your car as long as you're certain yours looks like your figure B? Let me know. I want $55 shipped for mine.
