What did you update to. I'm thinkinking about trying to use 17" wheels but haven't found any info on offsets, spacers, etc.

hey,
you can fit 944 wheels on a 924 turbo and a 924S, but not a regular 924, the four lug nut wheels and the five lug nut wheels Do Not Work. If you have a 924 turbo or a 924S the wheels will fit.

I have a 1980 924 Turbo with 4 lug wheels so not all Turbos have five. I'd like to find some 17" wheels but I don't know where to look.

A side note...I belive that the 83 944 had a 29.5mm offset and the 924s has a 52.3mm offset. You would need some serious spacers for the wheels.

Actually, early 944 wheels (23mm offset) do NOT work with 86-88 924S models (52.3 mm offset) without spacers and longer studs.
