Porsche Crest 968 Tranny

Just a feeler, my tech is thinking about selling a low mile, 968 6 speed.$2,500, and 3.2 intake+shipping. Here are the #s from the case.

the one you're talking about is:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4551157207

a 'basket case' (I wonder if any parts are missing)

it also has LSD which by itself is worth $500+

but who would pay much more than that for a bucket of suspect parts?

and only if you were rebuilding a 6 speed already and needed a few of those parts.

that 'buy it now' price can't be serious

just take 2 junk trannys (with different broken parts) already disassembled and you have the same thing and more!

I'm interested in the 911 3.2 intake. How complete is it? I need everything from the manifold on up to the airbox for a project I'm doing.

I just sold one for $2500 without LSD (low mileage).
On what planet is the going rate $1200 for a 968 6 spd?
