Potentially parting 944S2

I'm purchasing a complete, driving, licensed, inspected, etc 944S2 and thinking of moving all my race parts to it. Trying to figure out the economics vs. doing more work on my existing race car.

Please let me know interest and approximate price you would pay for the following items. If I decide to part it out, I will come here first.

The car has less than 80k.

Thanks,

Joe

Engine

Transaxle (NOT LSD)

Torque Tube

Nice condition linen (partial leather) interior

steering wheel and airbags

AC components (AC blows cold)

16" OEM wheels with decent tires

glass hatch

Complete OEM suspension and brakes (or individual parts)

What condition is the driver's side seat in? Is it the black leather with the linen insert that has PORSCHE embossed in it? If so, I'll give you $175-$200 shipped for it depending on condition.

And do you have a non-airbag black steering wheel?

I'M EXTREMELY INTERESTED. and I live close enough to come get it soon.

please pm me a price on car as is, and a price on car less engine, tranny & computer to drive engine.

I have a drop-in powertrain and need a turbo or s2 that's complete less powertrain.

Thanks!

Hey All:

Sorry I haven't been on the computer all day to respond to your questions. I was instructing at a DE at Gateway.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep the tub and sell off the engine, trans, etc. If I were to sell the car, it would have to be at a profit to my purchase price to make sense. (I have located another S2 that already has the engine pulled, but the price is a little on the high side) Not a promise to sell, but I think in order to sell my S2, the price would be in the mid to high $8,xxx range. The engine HAS had the cam chain tensioner replaced, which is about an $800-1000 job that every S2 should have done by now.

The interior is not black

It has the standard airbag wheel

It is NOT a '91 with the separate wing. It has the standard (for all other years) 944 hatch.

Thanks for your thoughts,

Joe

Fuel rail

Brandon:

I'll probably sell the motor complete vs. tearing it apart. If things change, I'll let you know.

Thanks,

Joe

Change of plans, car is FS

Long story, made a bit shorter....

I found another car with much higher mileage that will be a better car to use as a track car. This one is really too nice. I also bought it cheap enough that I can sell it to someone else at a fair price and make a little money to help pay for my project.

I'm going to start a new thread showing the car for sale on the "Cars for Sale" area on Pelican. Here's just one photo for now.
