Is StandAlone ECU upgrade necessary, or chips ?

Require what lb inj, boost psi, turbo size ? Other stuff that needs to upgrade ?

Who has this engine on the street ?

You don't need a stand alone but you would need a way to control your air / fuel ratio. A MAF setup with custom chips is fine.

You should use at least 72lbs injectors (55lbs might work on low boost). A good turbo would be a Garrett gt35r or a k27/8. A free flowing exhaust and a GOOD clutch.

Not many people run these because its expensive and a true do it yourself type thing. I know 2 people that run them and have 450rwhp @ 18psi. Its awsome! I'm selling because I am selling the car stock.

MAF :(

I did MAF3 and did not care for it. Using k26-8 bb w/ 52#trim Garrett. Good for 22psi w/ race fuel. Have 3" SFR 304ss test pipe, no muffler, 4" tip. 3bar, Nology coil, wires, beru. Cup chips blank burned for 86pin car.

Euro951 German spec. German warnings.

Want to relocate polished stock flapper meter like Lindsey used to offer behind light.

Nobody offers this relocater kit now, just MAP, MAF kits for 3x price !
Why would I need that intake with stock inj and k26 ?

Have GT lsd, KEP 930 press plate, CUP clutch, CUP TURBO, CUP CHIPS, CUP FLY, new axels, short shift link.

You have to use a map or maf. A stock afm will peg! Its not ment to meter that much air. A 2.8ltr motor moves alot more air than a 2.5ltr. Call Lindsey, maybe they can help.

Your turbo would spool very quick and be out of its range. Its to small.

Your clutch etc.. is great.

Thanks for reply,
2.8L is not way I should go on street/AutoX/DE car. No cage, no CF seats, no fiberglass body upgrades, no late spindle upgrade [just spacers] for Box S wheels, Triple chromed now, not racey look.

Doing the Paragon Koni Coilover kit for $1600, with strut brace. Have KLA sway brackets, next 968 sways w/ kla drop links. PCA discount on OEM 968 sways

Nice looking car. A 2.8 or bigger is awsome on the street / autoX. lots of torque and little turbo lag!

GAS is crazy high, dropped from $3.50 to $2.70 in Tulsa, OK
2.5L built gets 25-32mpg state2state and 12-19mpg in city

Wonder what kind of MPG does a 2.8L w/ 3" inlet Garrett, 72lb inj , stroker get in city/ highway?

What kind of mileage does that yellow-bird Lindsey 951 get [grin]
