third request... please, guys? Stub axle, hub, and turn signal switch

hey guys, this is going to be my third request for someone... ANYONE.. who has the following parts for me in good condition..

1 rear stub axle from an early 944 or 924 (i heard the 924 was physically the same).
1 rear hub for the corresponding part.

canadians will get priority, simply because i dont want to pay the exchange rate and duty, however I'm starting to become desperate... no matter where you're from guys, shoot me up with an offer..

I'm also in the market for an early 944 working turn signal assembly switch and lever.

lemme know what you've got...

Hey, Eldorado,

I think I've got you covered on all counts. I'd read in one of your posts that you were going to buy new so I left this one alone.

I've got an '85 in pieces in front of the shop with only about 50,000 miles on it. I think most of the car (mechanically) is good, as all the bits from it that live on in my 944 and my wife's 931 have been in very good shape - head included.

I've got a couple of days off over Christmas so I'll see if I can't start pulling the rear suspension apart. I haven't done it 'cause the car's outside and I'm lazy when it gets cold. Still, our weather here is supposed to be good over the hols so I could get up the gumption to wield a wrench or two!

If you're interested let me know today if poss (Friday). I use the computer at work - my home one blows goats and I've let my e-mail lapse.

HTH

Hey Slam, i was going to buy new... that is, until i was advised that the new parts i found weren't *exactly* what i was looking for. So thanks for your heads up.

how much would you be looking to get for your troubles? I know someone else from alberta (i believe it was alberta, anyway.. i'd have to go back and read the posts) said i could have them for free.. but if it's the difference between sooner and later, I'd rather pay for sooner..

you could even ship them greyhound... last check, it isn't that much money at all...

Hi, Eldorado,

Sent you a pm. If you don't get in touch with me, I'll be checking back here on Dec 28.

And if I don't hear from you before the 25th, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I checked, but I don't have a hub. I have a brown early turn signal switch, and 2 stub axles. It looks like I have misplaced the hubs, and I honestly have no idea where they could be.
Hopefully Slam can help you out.

Hey, Eldorado,

What's the status on this? I seem to recall a pm but it's gone...

I hope you've got it sorted.

hey Slam, after talking to you on the phone before christmas, we decided to let it wait for a bit..
well I've given up on the dude that said he'd give it to me for free, so my last PM was just asking what you'd want for the axle and hub...

Hadn't really considered a price, and I don't know what they go for around here. At work my time's worth about 25 bucks an hour. Let's say it takes me a couple of hours to get the car apart... Wanna call me sometime this weekend??

I'm actually tanked this weekend.. so much stuff to do..
I have no problems paying you a couple hours labour, just as long as we agree before you proceed.. hehehe

work it out.. look it over, and lemme know... no REAL hurry, so you could even do it in your spare time if you wish.. you dont need to do it all at once.

Roger, wilco. Sorry it's taking me so long. No excuse really. I'll see what I can do for you over the next couple of days. How's about $50 plus shipping? That's CDN, BTW. Anyone - what do these parts sell for? Is this out of line?

A friend of mine paid over $200 for a stub axle and hub, but that was WAAAAY overpriced if you ask me. $50 sounds pretty reasonable.
