WTB starter

I've got a big one on now that has 'issues' after a race. I would like to replace it with the small diameter one.

I really don't know anything about the 924's before the 2.5L. The 944 big starter has a body that measures about 4 1/2" in diameter, the smaller one is about 3".

Here's a couple of mediocre pictures. The big starter has a body that widens after the aluminum nose. The smaller one just comes straight back. Also, the two studs with nuts at the rear of the starter are at the very outside diameter of the smaller starter. On the bigger one they are inboard about 3/4".

The big one is about 12+ pounds. Small one is about 5+ pounds.

BTW, what is "the issues" after a race?

It won't start when it's nice and hot after a race. After it cools it works fine again - especially after having been pushed some distance...
