Parting out '83 944

just found out that the 5 spd 944 I bought to use as a daily driver is gonna cost more than $700 in back taxes to bring back onto the road...legally. Right now I need the money and the space for other things so I've decided to part it out. It's got a new DME relay, cap, rotor, wires, and plugs (it's got maybe 10 miles on it). Engine runs (though the idle is either too high or too low) and car drives well. It's lowered and has 15" BBS style wheels on it. Odo shows ~110k miles but it doesn't work anymore. Pretty much complete...

As for shipping, I know it gets pretty expensive, but UPS now does ground from here to the mainland for a pretty good price. Anything that fits in a flat rate USPS box will be rather cheap for shipping. As far as huge stuff like rear spoiler or fenders I'd rather not ship...would be way too expensive. Clutch was replaced by the PO to the spring centered type with just a few miles on it before he parked it. Not sure on prices on parts so I'll do a search, and offers are welcome. Thanks in advance!

I don't want to...but there has been no interest in it locally as a whole, especially with it $700 behind in taxes, I don't have too much of a choice. I just don't have enough time and money to get it to pass safety check (no cat plus some other issues) and want to recuperate my losses. If someone will give me $2k for the whole thing I'll ship it to the west coast. Out of state buyers probably won't even have to pay the back tax the damned DMV here wants.

Kevin,
they don't look that great...what do you think?

i'm sure you'd find someone in cali that would buy that car as a whole for 2k... absolutely.. especially if it runs. even with the back taxes, 2700 for a running 944 is a good price.

finally had some time to take some stuff off. All prices obo.

ignition tune up "kit", Bosch wire set, cap, and rotor have about 5 miles on them. You can hardly see any wear on the cap. If you want the almost new NGK plugs they can be included for free. Asking $100/shipped

MAF sensor, $100/shipped

Motronic ECU SOLD

Ignition Coil, $30/shipped

steering column part with new ignition switch, key included . $50/shipped

Turn signal and wiper switches/stalks $40/shipped

How much would you want for the reference sensor housing that sits above the flywheel?

that doesn't look like a factory centre tail light.. it just looks like a clone reflector with black 'porsche' print that someone made up to look factory at one point..

Front header panel

Is the front header panel undamaged (other than paint)? I'm looking for one to fit a 85.5 non-turbo so this should fit I believe. Price and shipping to 75028?

Thanks!
Denny

Yes exactly the sheet metal between the headlights (and I could also use the part under it that actually holds the hood latch).
