No offence but for the money you can have a 951 head reworked to fit the 3.0 block for less money and not worry about replacing valves plus get the ceramic liners.

true........I think the head is worth it. Its pretty rare by itself. I think you should stick to your price.

Considering this head is only worth the money to someone going turbo on a 3L and you can get a 951 head modified to fit for less than $700 from lindsey (and still maintain ceramic exhaust ports). I think you've priced yourself quite far out of the market.

I was told by a porsche engine builder that the 2.7 head does have larger ports ( runners) and will make more power. Of course that is just work of mouth.

It has to have larger ports to support the other .2 litres. And about the having "the 951 head built to fit theory" I think alot more people would be doing that if it would be better but we all know that people are trying to hunt these 2.7L heads and buy them for over $1,000 all the time so it is obviously better somehow because im sure people have already tried everything and figured out whats best for the 3.0L turbo.

I've heard of them being sold from dismantlers for over $2000 but as a business, they sell at higher prices and offer warrenties and refunds. Do youself a favor and call 944 Ecology, *********** or dcauto and see what they charge. You will probably have to sell for about 75% of what they sell theirs for. I'm curious to see what you can sell the head for because I have a 2.7L motor in a car I'm parting out and I'm wondering if it's worth more complete or apart. Consider putting an ad in Porsche panorama for a few dollars.

i have an 89 NA with the 2.7 motor. The motor and car have 78K miles. The car has a new clutch, brakes, rotors, motor mounts, belts, rollers, etc.

I will sell my 2.7head for $6,500 OBO and throw in the rest of the car for free. BTW, the free car is very clean and runs very nicely. it will need tires though, but that shouldnt take from the value of the head.

Does that head and free car come with a car cover too? Because if it doesn't you're ripping people off..

Hey man I said or best offer.

But i can find a cover that will fit. May have a bit of a musty smell, but it should do the trick. Since you mentioned it, if the purchaser mentions this ad I will throw in a can of wax and my old cotton undershirts, but only if you mention this ad.

The car runs nice, I am just more of a S2 kind of guy.
