Complete Suspension From 1989 951S M030

I have a 1988 944 that I am turning into a track car. I originally upgraded to a 1989 951s M030 suspension with about 65K miles which included:

1) 26.8mm tubular front swaybar
2) 16mm rear swaybar
3) Koni adjustable rear shocks
4) Koni adjustable front shocks with adjustable spring height and springs that are probably around 180 lbs to 190 lbs springs.

This was a big improvement over my stock setup and I tracked my car maybe about 3K miles before I decided to go all out for 944Spec Racing. This setup is perfect for someone who does the occassional autocross or track event.

Now I changed my rear torsion bars to 30mm hollow and am still using the front adjustable shocks from the 951s but have switched to 350 lbs linear front springs. Front swaybar is 30mm and rear is 18mm. Also changed to new Koni adjustable rear shocks. This setup is great but is a little firm in ride quality. Perfect for the track but ok on the street.

Because of 944Spec Racing rules, I don't think the 951s front suspension is legal so I will probably have to change that out in the very near future.

If someone is interested in purchasing a complete stock suspension from a 1989 951s, I will sell the complete package for $600 shipped anywhere in the Continental US.

Sorry, no photos of the front shocks and springs with adjustable perch because they are still on my car. The photo of the 3 swaybars shows the 16mm rear, 18mm rear and a 25.5mm that I sold. I will sell the complete package with both rear swaybars so that way you can adjust your suspension to your driving style.

I would rather sell the suspension as a complete kit but I am willing to break it apart to sell seperately.

If it is a 1986.5 which have wheels that have a 52.3mm offset, then it should bolt right up. Mine is a 1988 and everything just fits perfectly. Great upgrade if you want something a little better than what you have without sacraficing ride quality. Let me know if you want it or not. The front suspension is still on my car and I would need to take a 50% non-refundable deposit before I remove the fronts and then once everything is all ready to go, I will take a photo again to show you all the parts and when the balance is paid, I will ship everything out and give you a tracking number. Let me know when you decide. Thanks.

Sidney

I am not 100% sure but I have a feeling it will not be something you can put on an early 944. I would suggest going to the forum and asking around and maybe an expert can confirm. When I order suspension parts from Paragon, they list different shocks for the 944's depending upon year. Just let me know when you find out. I will also try to do some homework for you and see if I can come up with anything definite.

Just checked with Paragon Products and it shows that the rear shocks are the same for 1985.5 through 1989.
It does show a different part for the front shocks as one of them is 83-86 and the other part is 87-89. Since the front shocks are strut replacements, I am assuming that is why there are different parts but I can't confirm if you swap out the entire strut assembly if it will fit or not.
The swaybars should bolt right into place for the fronts and the rears, provided you already have a rear swaybar.
I will post something on Pelican Parts forum as well as Rennlist to see if that is something that can be done or not. Hopefully I get some answers for you.

I have an interested person who wants to buy the 2 rear shocks. Does anyone want the front adjustable shock and adjustable spring perch? I also have the swaybars too.

Still would like to sell to someone who wants the complete package. Anyone?

I may be interested in both the front and rear shock setups with front springs. Any pics of the front shocks and springs? Already have a 26.8 bar, and am looking for an 18mm rear bar though 16mm may work for me if I keep my rear tire size down to 205. I might be interested in getting the whole setup I guess if the price is right, and I could probably sell my 26.8 bar separately to someone who's in need of just the bar.

Thanks!

If I sell the front adjustable shocks and adjustable spring perch with stock springs and rear shocks, I would like to get $500 shipped.

My complete suspension package will come with both a 16mm rear as well as a 18mm rear swaybar. I don't have any pictures of the front setup as those are still on my car right now at my mechanics. I'm getting an engine rebuild right now and if I sold the complete suspension, I will have to order the front suspension and have my mechanic swap it out before I can send everything. Of course I could send out the swaybars and the rear shocks first.
If you want everything except for the 26.8mm and the 16mm swaybars, I can sell it for $500 shipped.

I think there was another seller asking $550 for the 2 front shocks and perches but I will take $450 shipped. Let me know soon.

I have decided to keep the front suspension because I am no longer turning this car into a 944 Spec racing car. Just going to use it on driving events. Actually purchased a 1983 944 that I will be turning into the race car. Thanks for all your interest.
