can anyone help me out plaese???

Can anyone help me out, please??? In PA the last week we had some snow and some ice storms. I waited 2 days to finally drive my car. Coming home from my buddy house, I changed lanes whicH was a bad idea. I hit some ice in the middle of the road, rear end went out from begind me, and spun into a concrete guard rail.. I just bought the car. Can any one give me some peices to an 85 944??? I hit the drivers side, the front rim was under neath the car, front and rear fender dont look sexy any more, brake components and i dont even know what else is totaled with it. I was going to join the PCA on the weekend and wanted to race it at least one time. It was previously a track car before this. But I am beging you guys to help me out with this, anything that you can?? PLEASE!!!! Please, i love this car. PLEASE!!!????!

i suspect that you have another parts car, but i am sure if you find a shell, you can put it back together.

The damage to the rear quarter will probably total the car.

New tie rod and drivers side strut at the least. The power steering rack may have cracked the mounting collars on the cross member. Check the ball joint on that control arm also. If you got away with no damage to the frame on that side consider yourself very lucky.

If you can get a picture of the car with the wheel off it would let us know what else you need. Based on what im seeing though i would change the entire drivers side suspension...hub, spindle..etc.

I have a pair of complete struts you can cheap if you need them. They are OEM Boge struts, 8k miles on them..about 4 or 5 years old. They wont be cheap to ship though, probably in the area of $20-25 each.

Dont sweat it, ive been in some hairy situations with my car also, all of which were my fault, no weather excuse for me.

BTW, a friend of mine also on Long Island probably has a drivers side fender.. I think if you wanted the struts and the fender..it would be more cost effective to come and pick this stuff up instead of shipping it all. I can bring the stuff back to my place, which is on the north shore of Long Island. I live about 40-50 minutes from Matt (who you bought the car from).

I am really sorry to hear about this accident to your 944. Glad you did not get hurt.

I have doors, Guard Red with all the inner parts working if you need them. Both passenger and driver's side. I also have some suspension stuff if needed. However, I am NOT trying to butt in, just want to help if I can another fellow with a 944 if needed.

Sounds like you are in good hands, though, with all the closer then the West Coast, parts and friends to help, so I am thinking about you.

I know what you mean about those rears coming around in snow and ice, had me a bad one too. Scary, very scary. Like I said, I am glad you are okay....the car can be fixed.

Keep us posted on your progresses and Good Luck!

Hi Kidd, I have the front crossmember with spindles, power steering rack and tie rods attached which I can let go for a low price considering your recent misfortune. If you can pick it up, make an offer under $100 as I dont want to ship it. It would be a direct bolt in as its from an 85.5. Take the hood for free if you need it.

Hey Earl, thank you very much, ill take them all, but im going to find out if I should keep the car or not. Im going to ask Porsche how much it will be to repair the car, and if they can do it over a span of a few months, does anyone know if they do that stuff?? I think i wil need the brake component too because when i looked at hjer yester day, the pads and caliper were on the ground and in the pics you can see the rotor poping out of the hole. I am going to need the front valence (part in front of the wheel, right fender, back right fender and a bumper. And thats the parts that i only could see though.

this car is going to cost you at least double its value to have any pro shop repair it. you must do it yourself.

when you go to a restaurant, do you bring the bacon and eggs?

can you read a book, like a repair manual?

this is a fantasy thread,.
