Parting out an '87 944S

I now own my uncle's wrecked 944S. I am waiting until I'm out of school in early May to start pulling the engine, transmission, and suspension. However, everything in the interior (except the seats and sunvisor) is for sale.

Car has 52,900 indicated miles, but judging by records, I suspect the odometer was broken for a year. It was driven 100 miles in 2 years between emissions tests. While this is possible, I am assuming that the car has, at worst, 70,000 miles. Was well maintained and a great car. Last year, my uncle installed such things as a Saint-Gobain antenna windshield, Rennbay track balljoints, Koni yellow front strut inserts (late offset), etc. Insurance is willing to pay him $7000 for the car- it was a nice one.

I also have a spare DME for this car.

Again, I'm trying to get the interior sold and moved out of the car, seeing as how the door doesn't properly close. The light makes the dash look good, but it has half a dozen average cracks.

would this guage cluster fit a 1987 944 na without the fuel consumption guage just like this one.

my cluster has the shift light and does not have fuel consumption guage. if it does, how much for it and all the hardware, maybe the steering wheel too. thanks josh

I would like the "snorkel" for the air filter box. It's the piece that attaches to the side of the box and attaches under the nose panel. No tools required to remove- very easy.
THanks.

I'll be doing front struts next month when I'm out of school. As above, they're Koni yellow inserts with maybe 5,000 miles on them (done last summer). I'd ask about $200 US + $20 or $30 to help on shipping.

Paragon wants $250 plus shipping to convert your struts.

Anybody want a guaranteed-to-work digital clock or '87 NA/S/951 manual? I have those on my desk and ready to go tomorrow.

Yellow line, is that the price for the whole strut assembly or just the Koni insert?

Count me as interested.

The insert is installed, my uncle did the conversion. It would come as the entire tower.

I'm not sure what springs are on there, but I'm assuming stock. Let me check his records.

15x7 late offset phone dials, the rear left one is bent. The tires are Michelin Pilot XGTs, but are pretty old and have less than half tread.

Yes, but I'm keeping them because my '83 shocks are soft and they fit. I'm also keeping the CV joints and 951 clutch with <10k on it, but pretty much everything else is to be sold.

I have to do some work on that before I decide if it is worth selling. The lower slider does nothing. I'm not sure if it is hooked up incorrectly, the motor in the dash doesn't work right, or if there is a mechanical problem.

Also, the defroster button came off because the tabs for it broke. I have the button, though.

How much do you want for the air box and hardware, the 2 AFM screws(the little things that screw on to the actual bolt) and the coolant tank?

Thanks for the interest, everyone.

I'm trying to keep everything engine-related together, so that the buyer has a choice of buying it in one place, especially if the buyer has an 8v car and needs the AFM, airbox, and other stuff. My uncle replaced the coolant tank a year ago and wants it back for his S2.

Which reminds me- if you need an engine, I want to sell this one in the next few weeks. If the buyer already has an S and just needs a long block, I'll sell the AFM and airbox stuff.

I just mailed the carpet out yesterday, unfortunately.

I have lots of dash trim parts and switches ready to go.
The turn signal, cruise, wiper/headlight washer cluster is ready to go. Records show it was replaced in 02.

I have a 4-spoke non-airbag steering wheel, condition 9.5 out of 10.
