just go buy yourself one from the autoparts store... it doesn't need to have a porsche crest on it to be useful.

The original is nothing special. Mine doesn't even have a Porsche crest on it. In fact, it looks decidedly J.C.Whitney.

same thing, i've got a couple of original compressors out of early cars that have a very generic look to them. go buy a new one at an auto parts store, and have peace of mind that it WILL work.

Compressor

Everybody's right. The original compressors were nothing special and took forever to inflate the spare. Mine, a bright orange plastic thing is nearly 24 years old was made by Bayr Druckgusswerk. Limited to 15 minutes running time before shutdown for cooling.

Newer ones are probably far better.
