This kit fits all 2.5L 8v Porsche 944. This kit is bolt and does not require any engine modifications. The kit will increase horsepower to 222 rear wheel horsepower @ 8 psi. If you would like more information about the kit go to:

http://www.speedforceracing.com/productsporsche_superchargers_944v8.php

The kit includes the follwing items.

ATI Procharger C2 supercharger,
Billet aluminum mounting bracket,
8 psi pulley,

I hate to ask.... how much?

Randomly, the pics at SFR look like Huntly's old place and its on the same street which is a block or two from the Dyno Shop.

But I suppose that price doesn't include a tranny rebuild, after you blow yours out with the extra HP.......

The SFR kit is pretty nice - I looked at one a while back.

Biggest problem is the cost. For the price of a good 944 and the SFR kit, one can buy a decent 951 with considerably more power and upgradeability. AND you get to keep your a/c compressor if it matters to you. That's one big drawback of the SFR kit. . .

FWIW the issues with n/a transmissions are largely overstated. As long as you're a smooth driver and don't go slamming through the gears or doing other stupid things, they can handle a lot more power than the standard n/a engine. I've seen several n/a transmissions used on boosted 944s and in all cases they were fine.

For a supercharger it's probably even better since the power comes on more gradually whereas with a turbo (particularly a large one) it tends to be "lag, lag, lag, lag, lag, KA-WHAM!" which is a lot more stress on the R&P and other components internally.

Not saying it can't happen (and the taller gearing of a 951 transmission would be more fun eventually anyway) but the belief that a 944 n/a transmission is as fragile as a glass flower and will explode if you so much as sneeze near one is an old wife's tale.
