WTB 944 torque tube w/ rear bell housing.

I am in desparate need of a 944 torque tube and rear bell housing.
The cheaper the better.

I am in southeast Ohio so naturally I would like it to be close to here so I can come pick it up and not have to have it shipped.

You may want to look for one that matches your car. The early cars with steel rear suspensions used a different torque tube than the later cars with aluminum rear suspensions. On the late cars, the torsion bar carrier was cast with "teeth" and the torque tube had matching "teeth" to prevent the torque tube from moving forward in a crash. On the early cars, the torsion bar carrier and torque tube do not have these and there is an "L" shaped bracket that bolts to the tube with two U-bolts. This bracket will not fit on top of a late torsion bar carrier.

I will not be using it in a Porsche.

I am using it in a V8 VW Rabbit project I am working on.

I have an Audi 016 5 speed trans that looks real similar to the 5 speed that is in my 88 944.
I have heard that these will bolt up to the 944 torque tube.

Then at the other end there will be a 931 chutch bell housing that will bolt to both the 944 tube and the Audi V8 that I am using.

Thanks for all the replies.
Now I have several to pick from.

Maybe I should also mention that I am looking for a 924 turbo (931) clutch bell housing if anyone has one of those lying around.

I may take a plain old 024 clutch bell if the price is right.
I think I can make it work.
