Unhappy WTB: 16v Exhaust Cam

My exhaust cam is missing a tooth, and my local used parts guy wants $300 for a new one!

I need 1 of these:

944.105.277 1R (The exhaust cam from a 1988 944S).

Does anyone have one? Can they be easily repaired? If you have one in good shape, let me know how much you want for it.

Charlie.

That's for a used one, unfortunately!

Where can you get them redone, and what does it cost?

One tooth is not that bad - it should work just fine.

The previous owner of my replacement head reported that it ran fine when it was missing two teeth. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

I have a replacement cam coming from Ian at 944Online, and I'll send him back the old one as a core deposit. He was most helpful -- red9444, thanks for the advice.
