Koni front/rears feeler

I found a car a guy is parting out with these Koni's. Condition unknown, car is a 88 944 with 140K. It's an automatic without m030 or m474 codes, so these were added later.

Front complete struts 951.343.0310.01 & 02.

Front springs with one Yellow dot, I think thats 944S code?

Rear 951.333.0320.01 & 02

Before I go through the trouble of pulling them, any interest in the set? Offers? Trades?

That number doesn't bring up anything. Do you have an extra zero in the middle maybe?

951.343.0310.01 & 02.

The numbers of the current parts listed here on Pelican end with 12, 11, 00, 06 and 32 - no .01 or .02's.

If it is 951 343 031 01, then it looks like it's a discontinued part - superceded by 951 343 031 05 - (so says Pelican) which is a Boge-Sachs strut. Or so it says...

Pelican Parts - Automotive Parts and Accessories - Porsche & BMW

I've got an 86 951 that came with M474 with Koni's that show 951-343-03-4385 - which is the non-rebuildable Koni that they only used for that year. I've got 176K miles on the car and would like to replace the struts.

So potentially I'm interested but I'd need to know what it is you have.

It'd be nice to know what year that part was manufactured.

If there were a bunch of miles on them, I still would be interested if it turned out they were re-buildable (by putting in new inserts).

Are they adjustable?

The correct part number for the 951 Koni M474 option is = 951.343.032.01 &02.

The correct number for the rear is = 951.333.032.01 &02

Okay, okay. I don't know where I got the 951-343-03-4385 number for my car. And I thought Spec's numbers looked familiar...

After looking at what you said, I went back and found an email I sent Ian Riley with the correct number - 951 343 031 02 - same as what you have Spec (more or less). Here's what Ian wrote:
Good morning Michael
Thanks for the e mail

well
you don't have many options { no pun intended here } !!

this option was a limited production option
'and only for the 86 Turbo
The original type M474 Koni inserts - and I mean REAL Koni with the correct dampening - were discontinued from Porsche a long time ago-
no demand = no restock
The aftermarket Boge insert will fit into this housing - and at $195 per paiur are a good deal
they are not however Koni's

The Koni inserts avalable everywhere , and on our site - will NOT fit into this housing -
why - ?
its besacuse of how they mount , and are held in place
Same as what I currently have on my car. Wonder how many miles on them?

Thanks,
I checked my note again, I did add extra zeros in there.
They say adjustable on front and rear, and they are Koni for sure. There were caps over the top of the struts, so i didn't see if they had the external adjuster on the fronts.

Driver side front was 951.343.031.06
Pass side rear was 951.333.032.01

I don't need these, they wouldn't fit my early car anyway. Besides, I have Bilsteins and coilovers already, plus I already have a set of early 944 Koni front and rear and an extra set of 951 rear laying in the garage.

But I do need some cookie cutters so I think I'll grab em and either do some trading or sell em, if they're any good.
