No, they will not fit an 924S without modifications. The spindles are different, and have a different width and bolt pattern for mounting the front strut housing; also, the front spindles do not have the necessary hole drilled for the mechanical speedometer cable on the 924S. If you want these on ANY early car, you will need the spindle + hub + late style strut housing, and you will have to figure out what to do with your speedometer.

OK, but will this conversion fit an 87s (NA) ? Or is that the difference between an early and a late model?

When you say "87S" I don't know which model you're referring to. These will bolt right up to any late-offset suspension. The 924S did not have late offset. The 1986 and prior 944 did not have late offset. All 944 post-1987 had late offset.

The hub and spindle are early offset turbo. An 87 would have late offsets so you would need to find late offset turbo spindles and hubs.

The hubs and spindles don't determine offset, the A-arms do.

The 86 turbo spindle is a unique item. It does NOT have the mechanical speedo cable hole, it has the LATE style mounting arrangement for the strut housings as noted above, but the hub is what is unique...it has the smaller diameter hub race than the 87-onward setups. It also is the design that requires the disc to be installed behind the hub, whereas the 87-onward setup has the disc on the front of the hub (much easier for servicing).

The front brake calibers MUST be bolted to an 86 951 spindle OR an M030 spindle. The caliper bolting holes are spaced differently for these calipers than for the floating style, so they will NOT bolt up to your spindles if you have floating calipers currently.

I have to respectfully disagree with this statement. The 83-86 944 has the same early offset arrangement as the 924S and early 924/931. The spindle on these cars has a mounting flange that is 20mm thick, with center-to-center spacing on the strut housing of 58mm. The later spindles have a mounting flange that is only 18mm thick, with center-to-center spacing on the strut housing of 63mm. These WILL NOT fit on an early car unless you also change the strut housing. As pointed out above, you will also need to figure out what to do with your speedometer, as these spindles do not have the hole drilled in them for the mechanical speedo cable on the early cars. The point is, you can make it work, but what is pictured above does not provide everything required, and certainly doesn't address the speedometer issue.
