Euro Bumper, Clock, wheels, etc. (more parts added)

I have several parts left over from past car projects and and need to thin out my inventory. I haven't been on top of the Porsche scene lately so let me know if my prices are out of line.

Aftermarket Tachometer - I had this in my 924S because the Tach stopped working, it even has a bushing on it that makes it fit perfectly in the pre-facelift cluster$50 shipped

944 European Rear bumper....this isn't a fun story, but I had bought this bumper and had it professionally painted Zermatt Silver...through all of my excitement I had overlooked the fact that I was trying to mount a 944 rear bumper on a 924S. That was a bad day. This is a great deal for someone with a silver 944. Only problem is the bolts on either end of the rubber strip are missing. $185 shipped

944/924s Ignition with Key & Spare Key - $20 Shipped

Early 944 clock $10 Shipped

944 Shift Knobs without leather (one comes with the pattern) - $10/each shipped

Feel free to make offers.

Thanks for looking!

Mike

Mr. Squid, what were the fitment issues with the 944 bumper on the 924S chassis?

ideola, the problem is that the bumper flares out on the ends to line up with the rear fender flares of a 944.

Hmmmmm! So a 924 that had 944 rear quarters grafted on should be able to use this then, eh? Hmmmm....

ideola, that car is an inspiration to everyone in the 924 community. I have had my 924S for 13years and have thought about selling it for the last 4. Your pics may have convinced me to keep it.

You ain't seen nothing yet! That car was stolen, crashed in the rear quarter panel, and is just about finished being restored. Fresh Audi S4 paint, interior fixups, newly recovered dash by Classic 9, new wheels, new tires, on and on. I'll be posting a major update later this spring with the "unveiling".

And thanks for the kind words...I can't take credit for the initial body work, I acquired the car after the initial work had been done. With it getting damaged during the theft, I took the opportunity to correct a number of things the PO rushed during the conversion. But it is an amazing looking car, no doubt, a real head turner!

I have often thought about turning my 924S into a GT....but the origonal plan was "I" stock in PCA. Now I go back and forth between keeping or replacing with another car?

The GT's are nice looking cars! I know I will upset some people by saying this but.....do you spend the money to do the Carerra GT conversion on a 924/924S or do you sell your car and put all the $$ towards a 911 (I fight with myself about this everyday - I miss my 911SC).

I picked up the latest issue of Excellence today and there is a comparison between the 924Careera GT and the 944!

Anyone want to buy some stuff?

Does the Euro bumper include the mounts? Do you have pix that show the mounting points on the inside of the bumper?

ideola,

I will take some pics of the mounting points tomorrow...pm me your e-mail address and I will send them to you. I do not have the euro solid mounts and was just going to use my existing mounts.

Interested in the RPM gauge. What wires did you have to use to connect it?

Hi there Love the GT look..........Had a white 924 Carrera GT knock off that was built on a 924 S....Was a DE and cosidered going I class with it.......but was way too nice..........got a dedicated race car(readre crunched for guild free racing) and sold the GT off to one of our DE guys who still runs the daylights out of it and it looks great!

Should never have sold that car!!

See you! John
