FS: Alternator Cooling Duct

Has your alternator cooling hose deteriorated? Mine looked like Swiss cheese but I did not want to pay $50 for a factory replacement. After a ton of searching for an aftermarket hose that would work in this application I finally found this hose but had to buy a minimum of 5 feet of it.

It is made of black thermoplastic rubber with a bronze-coated steel wire for support/strength. It measures 60mm I.D., 66mm O.D., and is recommended for temperatures of -60 to +275 degrees Fahrenheit.

I have two, 19 inch long pieces available (you only need about 16-17 inches, so there’s a bit extra just in case . $20 each includes priority mail shipping anywhere in the USA.

My bad. I tried to sneak one by on the post office but should have known they'd be smarter than me. I'll pay pal you back the additional amount due. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Long story short, it was $10 to send it in a flat rate box or $5 to send it in a regular box (based on size & weight). Since I already had it packaged in the flat rate box I used a black marker to scratch off all the "flat rate" markings. Apparently that didn't fly. I guess next time I'll have to find an unmarked box. What I don't understand is why they delivered it to you rather than returning it to me.

Sorry again.

Sounds like a Boxing Match to me (ha, ha) -

Yes the Postal Folks caught the size/shape of the box probably because it's all automated now days. The dumb robot couldn't see the black marker. With every thing now days being automated to the nth degree it is easy to mess up common sense, as that flew out the window years ago.

Never mind the postage due as I have made worst mistakes before myself...

Have fun...
