85.5 944 totaled... parting out cheap

Hi everyone. My daily driver was totaled by a kid in a Miata a few months back. I thought about doing some quick fixes and going lemons racing, but it never happened.

Here she is:

Got her in the garage to get stripped down now. Was going to pull the head but I thought someone might want the whole motor. Just posting to see what kind of interest there is.

Here's some background...

Mileage: ~150k (odo reads ~120ish and is broken)

Head rebuilt w/ a beautiful 3 angle job a few years back after a timing belt incident. Ran great after that, compression was within 1psi of 150 on all 4. Did a leakdown and it was good, but I don't remember specs. (updated water pump as well)

Trans replaced w/ used one 6months ago (old one chipped a tooth in the final drive or something... would roll a couple revolutions and lockup, haha). Also, brand spankin new axles.... but one is garbage after the wreck.

New clutch about 4 years ago

Injectors cleaned and balanced. New rail as well. Regulator (or dampener....the one up front) mount broke from rubbing on the intake mani. Thankfully no leaks like the last one. I was happy to run zip ties, lol.

Ate "atom" cut rotors a few years old.

Fresh clutch slave

KYB GR2 inserts up front, "gas adjusts" in the back

Center console dyed black, door recovered professionally and new hinge installed. very nice.

Glove door also recovered and new hinge catches.

Nice black floor mats

Things not to bother asking about:

AC compressor (bought one supposedly for my car and new... had to rig it up funny to get it in but I never hooked it up... so it's sealed if u want it. I'll even give you my fancy rigging equipment, hahaha)

Ran power steering unhooked because the pump mount kept failing.

Interior is burgundy and worn. (recovered seats don't look too bad (drivers bolsters torn) but they'll sweat u out if ur AC is broken....

Exhaust mani was broken and patched and broken and patched....not sure if it's broken or not....just avoid it.

Otherwise, most everything was fine on the car. Now I'll try to list everything in my stockpile:

PERFECT black/tan no airbag dash. I mean perfect. That's why i never put it in the car. Also to include all plastic stuff minus climate control, all looks NEW.

10 speaker door panels... again very nice. (black)

Misc sunroof hinge parts and a black storage bag

Ball joint rebuild kit from 944online (i may even go ahead and rebuild the ones I have.....)

Tie rods from a turbo

Entire new molded carpet set in dark gray. Was light gray and dyed dark. ...pics i know... I'll get to it.

I'm sure I'll come up w/ more soon. Anyway, pics on the way. If you express interest I'll get your pics first . Prices will be low.... just ask and I'll come up w/ something.

Thanks,
Tony

OOPS! By the way.... in case you weren't sly enough to spy my license plates, I'm in Virginia Beach.

PS: Loser in Miata didn't have insurance, but I had uninsured motorist coverage and it paid for this:

I'd be interested in the stock radio or the blaupunkt equalizer/amp. Too bad about the car.

Starion ran kinda poorly when i got it, only 7psi (factory 10) and 12mpg. needed alot more work than expected. But now it's makin 14psi and getting factory mileage (only 21, haha. TBI). Pulls pretty strong, needs some suspension work though.

Black_falcon, i'm fairly certain the blaupunkt unit in the car isn't factoy... also, it was only working intermittently. So i'm not sure it's any good. I'll test it for u if u want $25+shipping if it's good...or take ur chances at $10+shipping

Valence is pretty messed up. Not from the accident though... it was cracked and repaired with fiberglass when i got the car. FG has since mostly come off and the valence is coming apart a bit. I'll remove it and take pics if you want.
