KKK K27 x 8 turbo for sale

i have a kkk k27 x 8 hot turbo for sale.

was rebuilt 2k ago and is in great condition. I am a porsche tech and just switched to ball bearing turbo and this one is no longer use to me.

the turbo is in great shape and is almost fresh. very minimal shaft play but these turbos really never have zero to start with..

The turbo would be perfect for a race car or just your street car (like mine)..

price 450 obo, 30 for shipping.. i am in milwaukee area.
in photos duct tape was over the opening on the turbo so there is some residue if you see some discoloration in the photos

I'm confused. It appears the tag says K26. Can you post the casting numbers from the hotside housing? Do you know which turbine wheel is in it?

it says k26 / k27 because the hot side is from a k26 x 8 so that it bolts in to the factory exhaust... the hot side is from a turbo s car. the casting numbers on the cold side are,
6327-6794
77.8/13
5327-6792
77.8
5327-5793
74.3

this will take a little bit longer than a stock turbo because it take more air to compress but the wait is well rewarded.. please read some other forums on a k27 vs k26 i do not want to be the one to tell you numbers. but its not that much longer.

He's already mentioned that the hotside is from a k26/8. Take a look at the stamped #8 in the inlet area of the turbine housing. That should be enough to confirm that it is fit with a #8 housing and appropriate wheel from a 26/8. Also, the #6 housing has a square flat area just above the inlet. The lower pic is a 26/6 next to a 26/8.

Did it cross your mind that perhaps I had something else in mind besides a 944 application?

It would be helpful to know the casting number on the turbine housing, and even better, the number stamped on the turbine wheel. This will allow me to determine potential interchangeability with a 931 setup.

If the hotside housing is from an 8, it won't work. I thought the hot side was K26 and the cold side was K28, which would potentially work for what I have in mind. If it's the other way 'round, it won't work.

cold side k27 hot side k26 #8.

I am a porsche tech, i work for cs motorsports in WI. We are 944 turbo people. i have been thinking about the 931 application.. It will fit but it will not bolt right in. if you could rig up the front piped from a 951 you should be able to get it to work. but if you are hoping this will bolt right up it will not. but this turbo is a great turbo for that car if you could get to fit to your liking.

the left engine mount would have to be swapped as well.. (i would love to sell you one of those too)

The idea is to use the K26 hotside housing from the 931, which has the unique 3-bolt flange. The 944 turbine shaft and wheel is identical to the 931 turbine shaft and wheel, so the hot side housings can be interchangeable. The variable I'm not certain about is the #8 wheel, and whether that would work with the stock 931 hot side. If it did, this would be a straight bolt in. Something like this one that I developed for my Ultra Wide Body 931 project:

The above version has a standard 931 hot side with a bone stock 951 water-cooled bearing housing (direct bolt-on replacement for the 931 bearing housing) and a slightly modified 964 K27 cold side. This one is setup to accommodate 600 CFM at 78% efficiency.

What I'd be interested in is taking that turbo you have there, and simply replacing the hot side housing with one of the many 931 hot side housings I have. Everything else is direct bolt on for the 931.
