I badly need an internal K27 trubocharger part.

I recently sent a (KKK) K27 turbocharger in to Ron Holland (Ron's Turbo Service), near Salt lake City, for balancing. But there is a problem. He says that the front thrust washer is scored up, so I need to get a new one. But he does not have it.

It is the front thrust washer, which resides in the center hole of the compressor back plate, and has 2 piston rings in it. It is part #7 on the exploded diagram that I have. They are calling it a "mating ring".

If anyone has has one please PM me ASAP. Thanks.

call Sunset Porsche and either give them the part # or talk to Phil they can get it from Germany or it might be here in the sates!

Being that it is an internal turbocharger part, there is no porsche part# for it, unfortunately. Do you have the phone# (or URL) for sunset?

If it helps, I have an extra k26/K27 WATERCOOLED center (bearing) section that I would trade, even-up, for the small part that I need. I am in a holding pattern (dead-in-the-water) until I can get the part I need to the balancer.

Let me annotate that last post by saying that I just checked for a reponse to my inquiry with turbos_r_us in San Bernadino, and after they requested the K27 model#, I gave it to them (7006), and awaiting next response from them.

I checked out the thread. But I already have (ie. - spent the $ on) all of the parts that you are listing, and the balancing/rebuild has also already been paid for. But thanks anyways. What I don't understand, is why YOU are not using those parts.

The 1 part that needs to be replaced is #7 on THIS diagram:

turbos_r_us had the part my balancer needed, and I paid the very reasonable total of $34 for Jim to send it to him. So I'm in real good shape. thanks for the replies.
