WTB - KEP or CF clutch PP with low miles.

If anyone has one of these PP's for sale, let me know. I would only be interested in one that has had very light usage (and is damage-free, of course).

EDIT: This would be to fit a 89 951 model.

I had a nice K.E.P. stage II aluminum one that I sold a couple of years back because of short of cash at the time. I put out several feelers since to purchase another, but have not seen of heard of one for sale for a long time. I finally broke down and purchased a new SPEC PP for turbo (240mm)...Wholesale cost was $370.00, if you need one I can get you a new SPEC (240mm for Turbos) for the same price (I run a small garage here and can get allot of parts wholesale)...

Hope I helped ??

Coca is the spec pp much of an upgrade over stock? Seems like a lot of these kits just use a stock one with a higher friction clutch disc

KEP Stg 2

I've got a brand new KEP Stg 2 pressure plate that I don't plan on using.

$550 plus shipping

The SPEC is a higher spring pressure than OEM but not as much as the KEP II - KEP II will have a much stiffer clutch pedal and be lighter overall than the SPEC...KEP stage I and SPEC are very close in performance ... KEP is still lighter because their housings are aluminum.

Thanks for the reply's. I better go with the KEP stage II, considering all of the engine upgrades that are now being implemented. I will call tomorrow (11/01) with CC#. Is that one 250mm?

Should be 240mm for all Turbo & S2 clutch sizes ... not the 250mm

last i checked, spec recycles the same old factory stock sachs iron (heavy!) plate, and simply installs a stiffer spring in the center. they paint it blue to make it appear new but you can still see the 'sachs' logo in the casting.

kep machines a purpose-designed plate out of billet aluminum (lighter!) and uses a stiffer (interchangeable) spring. this rotational mass reduction at the crank alone will get you some HP.

I bought the KEP. I don't care if you are on a porsche forum or not, everyone, everywhere, recommends the stg2, "across the board". It gives you a nice feeling knowing that you chose nothing less than the best. But it's really because, with the mods I have going on, I don't think anything less would hold. Not for long, anyways.

But if my upgrades were milder, the spec would be very appealing. The idea that they put a stiffer spring than stock in it automatically makes it a better-than-stock pressure plate. Not a bad deal at all for 370, IMHO.
