Help. Need new KLR and DME chip 1987 944 Turbo

Reinstalled OEM KLR DME incorrectly and fried them! I need new KLR and DME chips. Would like aftermarket chip set if possible, but willing to buy OEM set if some one has one sitting around. Please email at eric@drcarine if you have any ideas. Thanks for your help.

Eric

Are you looking for the actual DME and KLR or just the chip that goes in the DME? I have a KLR and DME for sale and I believe the DME has an aftermarket chip as the engine had 55lbs injectors in it. I also have another DME that has a Huntley Racing chip in it. Contact me at barenstam@metrocast.net

Josh,
Pretty new to the chip thing.
I am thinking those Vitesse K26/6 chips will not work well on a stock '87 951.
Can you confirm or deny?

Thanks
Scott

They will not work with stock injectors. Plus - whoever ends up using them need to have a wideband installed on their car. They might require in addition to the 55lb injectors a 3 bar FPR.

The stock 24 pin DME chip should work for your car.

Thanks Josh for the clarification.

I am looking for a performance improvement over stock, but have not made any other upgrades as of yet. I am thinking the Lindsey Racing maybe my best bet.

Thanks for your help!

I am just looking for the chips and not the entire unit. I had an 86 turbo about 10 years ago that I purchased Autothority chips for and kept the oem chips from the sale. I didn't think that they would work with the 87 so I had never tried them. Installed them yesterday and I am getting the crank but will not start sound with them like my oem chips from the 87. Any ideas? The cars starts fine and just runs very rich with the cheappo ebay performance chips. I don't mind paying the extra few dollars for extra hp, so I am inclined to wait to something comes up.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I have an autothority set that I never plugged in. They are the Autothority stage II chips that will work just fine with stock. PM me if you'd like them.
