F/s '86 951 m030

This is an '86 M030 optioned car with limited slip and factory trans cooler. I have two complete motors for this car however neither one is currently in the car. Thought I had an internal problem with motor however it was later determined that it was do to failure of oil seals in oil cooler as well as bad seals in turbo. Original motor is complete but needs to be put back together. Was taken apart for inspection and all bearings still look good.
Purchased a rebuilt motor complete with harness and new turbo 2 years ago. This motor has approx. 10,000 miles. Bought motor from service advisor at Porsche dealer in N.C.

Below is a list of updates:
Custom Powerhaus turbo never used
Ultra Shield racing seats
Short shift kit
Slotted Rotors
Autothority stage 2 chips including KLR chip
Tire pressure/temp monitoring system
Harness bar
Quick disconnect steering hub
5 point racing harness (driver & passenger)

I am asking $5,000 for everything.

Also have set of original 17" Ruf wheels (see pictures) with nearly new Michelin Pilot Sports. Can package with the car for additional $3,000.

email or call with any questions. 502-338-2953

Thanks,
Rob

Possibly, I was hoping to sell all as a package. I would consider taking $3,500 for the wheels.

What do you mean by M030 optioned? That was not avabile for the 86 model year. Was this added to the car afterwards?

The M030 option would mean it would have yellow firmess adjustable Konis on the rear, Yellow firmness and height adjustable konis on the front, front spindles set up for a radially mounted brake caliper and the Turbo S front brake calipers. Larger sway bars like a 26.8 mm front bar and 16 mm or 18 mm rear bar were on that package as well.

Most likely what your car has is the M474 package. Yellow firmess adjustable konis on the rear, firmness only adjustable konis on the front and I am not sure what size sway bars. Stock front brake calipers as well. You should see the package on your options sticker on the rear of the car behind the carpet.

Are the RUF wheels 17"? What is the offset on them? Do you have to use spacers to run them on your early offset car?

I have the original window sticker for this car which shows the M030 option. The Ruf wheels are 17". I do have to use spacers on the 86". Did not have to use spacers on my 87" 928 but used them on the rear anyway just to set the wheels out a bit more from the caliper.

that's a new one to me, too. What brakes does it have? anyone else know about an 86 M030?

Yep - new to me to. Must be super rare. I've owned 15 different 944s and parted a whole bunch and never heard of an 86 M030 car. Would be really neat to see a scan of that window sticker and some pics of the struts and front brakes! Could be the car is priced too low given its rarity!

I woud like to see that window stickers 030 option as well, there has been some talk on this subject over at Rennlist.com as there was a '87 944, S, turbo clubsport model line here in the US and Canada mostly used for the Escort and Rothmans race series which had lightweight delete options and sports suspension, brakes etc.... But everyone pretty much concluded that there were NO M030 street used, dealership ordered 944 turbo cars until '88

There has been a few not sure stories of '86 951 clubsports but that would mean NO sunroof and plastic outside mirrors, no sound deadening, manual seats, etc..... And there were only a handfull mostly used for racing and development sold through Porsche Motorsports ie... Al Holbert
