Hi Chuck.. What exactly does this mean? "over the hump" Is there an area where the carpet coverage is not complete? Can it be seen (the open area)? What portion will the carpet not cover? (the hump is somewhat ambiguous) Thanks

Joe, I really don't see any difference..But then again, I haven't taken out my center console either..Is there supposed to be less carpet on the hump on the 86?

Gordon,
I am now a little confused.
The late carpets that I had, were not a one piece front. There were two separate "sides" for the front and NO carpet to cover the tunnel (under the console and around the shifter).

On the one pictured, it is full coverage. I was under the impression that was the layout for 83-85.5.

There is a possibility that the change was in 87 for the carpet, not 86. I did not take the carpet out of my 86. It was already out as it was converted to a race car. The carpet I had was from our 88.

I think we need someone with more expertise to chime in here.
Sorry if I caused some confusion.
