Steel arms rust, can sag and can break. These are only available on the 85.5, 86 or early 951.

are those trailing arms missing the upper bushings?

These are significantly lighter than the steel arms as well. They also allow for more rear shock choices.

Actually, they aren't lighter than the steel arms. I weighed mine side by side. The steel was a couple of pounds lighter.

The aluminum casting could be slightly more stiff compared to the tubular steel units. The certainly don't corrode like the steel does, but they can crack if damaged rather than simply bend.

No, they press right in. Most use a delrin bushing to reaplce the factory one that flows over time.
