Saratoga tops to be made again

I don't know either but I've heard the debate both ways. The NIB top I purchased about a year ago was supposedly from the last of the run. It is framed. If indeed the framless is the later version then Saratoga went backwards in design - way backwards. Everything about my framed - especially the hardware - is a vast improvement over my frameless.

Again, almost every used 'toga once brought 500, so any new has to be worth the same. The framed is just my preference.

To all, Chen has taken a new job and will no longer be with Pilkington. Sorry to see him go. Jennifer Wolf , the Engineer who found the toolings has taken over. She has as much or more info than prior. Nothing has changed other wise and the tops are almost there.

chudson; if you have both tops, i believe there is a date of manufacture stamped into the logo marking on the inside front center area. can you check the date of manufacture on both and report back?

nize - actually that occured to me the other day but I've just been too busy to stop and check. I will do that and report back. Also they have serial numbers which I assume are sequential but have no clue if the numbers were "reset" after the redesign. Give me a day or 2 - I'll post the results.
