1988 N/A Mid 968 Engine Transplant FS

Family emergency, so I have to sell my project. It's a black 88 NA that's in the process of having a 968 engine installed in it. It's a complete 968 motor (partially disassembled, I was in the process of doing to some rutine maintenance/upgrades) and a few other odds and ends needed for the swap (I can get you a complete list for those interested). The NA car is also mid assembly and the old NA engine is long gone. The buyer would have to be able to pick it up and transport it and all the loose parts. I'm asking 5000 but will consider most reasonable offers since buyer needs to pick up the whole operation.

List of Things needed to finish swap:
968 engine maintenance (Belts, chain tensioner and crank scraper; the belts are the only thing that new owner would have to buy for this)
Custom Fuel lines (can be bought from Lindsey Racing)
Wiring Changes for the 968 Harness (I have a PDF file with what changes need to be made, and it should be fairly simple)
Torque Tube Swap (the 944 TT is still in the car and the 968 tube needs to go in if you're planning on using the 968 BH and DM flywheel)
Custom Exhaust (I have the 968 headers and an exhaust cutout up until just past the O2 sensor so you would need a custom exhaust from there back)
Brake Lines (I have a set of 86 Turbo brakes that come with the car, the turbo spindles are already installed so you would need only the brake lines and spacers for rear calipers to finish the brake install)
Mounting hardware for rear turbo valence (it's painted in matching black and ready to be installed, you just need to get the hardware for it)
Replace or repair driver's side quarter panel (Got backed into while parked)

I was planning on running the 944NA tranny for a while until I found a nice S2 to install. The NA tranny on now runs smooth and doesn't have any problems shifting into any gears.

Sorry to hear about the family emergency.

The car sounds like a fun project. Do you have any pics? What is the condition of the car?

I'm snapping a few pics today and putting it back together enough so that it can be pushed. The car is in great shape, the only problem is a dented drivers fender that somebody backed into a few days before I parked it. Interior is black leather with scripted seats, and it has 16 phone dials with tires that have about 2k miles on them. I'll take some detailed pictures of the interior, exterior looks dusty since it's been parked for a few weeks now

The 968 engine comes with a crank scraper(needs to be installed) and a new timing chain/set of pads (upper and lower), and a new thermostat for the water pump. I also have the follwing parts needed for the install:

DME, complete harness, BH and torque tube, exhaust cutout right after O2 bung, oil cooler.

The only things needed to finish the install is to rewire two wires in the existing harness, the custom fuel lines (can be obtained through Lindsey Racing) and the belts need to be done sometime soon.

Does this have a full 968 exhaust system?
Does it have the S2 Bell house and fly wheel sensor and a S2 Flywheel and Clutch; and condition of clutch/flwheel?

So far I am seeing:
968 Motor, Harness, DME 3000-4000$ (would hope is comes with MAF, Intake, Fuel Rail, Regs, Injectors, Spark plug wire set, Coil, 968 Headers, 968 or maybe 951 Radiator..)
Decent roller shell, 88 944 with Suspension, interior $1500
16x7,8 phone dials with newish tires ~$700-850
New to be installed Timing Chain and Cam Tension Pads 150$
New to be installed Crank Scraper ~150$

The parts you are showing is worth the 5K+ price but your post could use some details.

The 968 engine has the harness, DME, MAF, 968 BH and Torque Tube. I also have everything you listed up there except for the 968 radiator and the spark plug wires. It has the 968 DM flywheel and clutch with plenty of disk left. I'm working on the details but it's all in my head and it's hard to put it down on paper unless I have specific questions to answer.
