According to the website it fits 85.5-89 944 NA's, but this chip is for the 28 pin DME. I don't think they started producing the 28 pin DME until 1987 or 1988? (don't quote me on that) If you have the 24 pin DME, you can have it converted by Russell Berry at MAXhpkit Porsche Performance Products or Josh at Rouge Tuning Rogue Tuning - DME Conversion

Great chip -- I have this in my 88NA... you WILL notice a difference. Gas mileage is great, but you will be running 93 for proper running condition. Good price, you should jump on it.

Don't have quantitative numbers or any dyno info to share but I will tell you that it idles better, is more responsive, has more pep off a start, and is smoother all the way around.

There are some dyno sheets on Russell Berry's website MAXhpkit Porsche Performance Products. Follow the link, click on products on the top of the page (second from the left), then scroll down until you see "944MAX" (should be the second thing on the list). If you click on that and scroll down there are some dyno charts.
The holidays are coming up quick and this would make an amazing gift! This costs $250 new, so $100 is an amazing deal! Last edited by Chunkerz; 12-01-2012 at 01:49 PM.. |

Is there no market for chips? This is the real deal! This is not some POS chip I got off eBay for $20 with a sticker on it. I promise!
How's about $100 shipped with tracking and $100 insurance? |

Tough to buy at end of year for some man... throw it out on ebay. This is one hell of a chip to give away at 100 bucks.

I tried it on eBay, but no one bought it. There were too many cheap $30 knock offs to compete with. Most 944 owners are smart enough not to buy stuff on eBay and shop at more reputable vendors like Pelican Parts, so that was another sale killer. I figured the end of the year would be an excellent time to sell because people are looking for gifts, but I guess not...
