FS: Running 2.5L 8v NA Engine In E. PA

SOLD!

I have a complete 2.5L 8v NA engine for sale, from an '87 944. The car has approximately 140k on it. The engine runs fine, without any abnormal noises. I don't recall any leaks either. The engine is still in the car, but I can have it pulled asap.

Asking $300 complete. Located in Zionsville, PA 18092.

This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. But! How much do you think shipping to Wainwright, Alberta Canada T9W 1S9 (or close to there) would be? If you're willing to ship and it's not cost prohibitive, I'm in.

Hello,

I would have no problem shipping. Should be able to strap it to a pallet, and have it picked up. I'm unsure how much shipping would run though. I'm going to guess somewhere around $500+.

Hmmm... Forward Air may work. Or Nationwide Engine Freight Service Right now any option that gets an engine to my door for less than about $750 is viable. I can get a whole car for about $1000 but I'm not convinced I want to go that route. I need spares like I need a hole in my head...

Haha, I know what you mean... Never dealt with a company like that, but am sure it's pretty simple. Know about how much one of these engines weighs? Maybe 400 lbs, with accessories? If on a pallet, I'd say dimensions are 4' x 4' x 4'.

Let me know total shipped to 99037, please.
Also, send me pictures and closeups of the engine numbers as well when you get a chance. Video of engine running in car would be very helpful.

Thanks, Zach. Appreciate this greatly.

BTW, if the other guy wants to trade you for his "racing motor" then I move that you accept that offer.

I mean, why bother with $300 when you can have that instead. LOL

The only draw back is, that motor is only good for another 70 hours or so IMHO.

Shipping will be about $300.00
100.00 crate fee.
We are looking for a complete 951 TURBO SET UP for this car.
We would be very interested in a trade.
I am not sure where the other guy came up with 70 hours.
We built 4 of these engines and 2 have over 200 hours and still leak down is under 4 %
Not a fan of chatting or guessing so call if you have a real interest.

TibetanT - Pictures have been added to the original post. Unfortunately though, I forgot the metal fuel line was cut at the fuel filter, when the trans was removed. And the exhaust is missing from the downpipe back. So I won't be able to get a video of the engine running.

TOY SHOP - I'm just confused why you would want to trade your $4,500 engine for my $300 one. If I'm reading this correctly, I will definitely go for it!
