Fuel Injectors for 944S & 944S2 + Tech Info

For sale are two sets of fuel injectors: One set fits all 944S and '89-90 S2 (Bosch # 0 280 150 811) = $125; and one set for '91 S2 (Bosch # 0 280 155 003) = $150. Both sets have not been installed since being professionally cleaned and flow tested. Price includes shipping to Conus. Be aware that most part houses do not list the '91 injector as being different from early S2s.

From the Porsche Tecnik:

"From the year 1991 injection valves with brass coils are being used. The injector valves of the Model 91 are smaller and are colored coded brown at the plug connector. The magnetic coils have a resistance of 16 ohms. Due to the higher specific coil resistence of the new injection valves the ballast resistors in the engine compartment are being deleted. The injection valves used until the end of the 1990 model year are marked green at the plug connector and have a coil resistance of 2.5 ohms.
Important: to avoid faults and damage to the injection valves and control units use the brown injector valves only with control unit with part number 944 618 124 05 (from 91).
The green injection valves must never be used with the DME control unit with part number 944 618 124 05 but only with the control unit with part number 944 618 124 02 (until 90 ).
Also, for 91 model year the circuit plate switch by which the fuel/ignition characteristics could be influenced is now deleted because of the anti-knock and adaptive lambda control. The familiar coding options with the coding plug remain unchanged. Introduction of the "Check Engine" lamp has been made possible . However the lamp is only fitted in the USA and Canada versions."

They were checked, cleaned and calibrated by Redding Fuel Injection. Fresh cleaning fluid was used per my special request - this is very important. Redding Fuel Injection has been in business many years and are a Bosch factory authorized repair facility.

They would be compatible with the 968 DME as the injectors are the same high impedence type, however the flow rating is different. Check out the flow chart in my post #1.
