WTB: Balance belt drive gear.

Lookin for a new or used balance belt drive gear with bolt and tapered washer . The one on the end of the crankshaft. If anybody has one how much do you want for it?

I will sell you a new pulley for $100.00 or used for $75.00 plus shipping. Used bolt and washer for $25.00

I think this is part 944.102.209.11 and it is available for $43.53 new from Sonnen Porsche. I could probably dig one up with the bolt for $35 shipped.

Best I can tell this is the 944.102.209.11

It looks like you have a 944.102.209.105. 944 turbo style pulley I suspect they are interchangeable .
Here is the one I have I will PM you.

Dane, If I recall correctly , that gear and the Alt. pulley are a balanced pair known in the books as the harmonic balancer. I haven't tried mix and match with that pair.
You can use the tapered washer for the crank bolt in the non-power steering cars, in 83 P/S was an option. You can also use the flat washer which is from the 83's.
The 83 crank is about 5mm shorter than ones used with power steering.
Good luck!

Also, please add your location to your signature. If you're on the east coast, I'll let someone else take care of you. If you're closer to me the shipping will be more acceptable.
Either way, git her up an' runnin' agin.

Ok why would there be a turbo one on there man this guy i bought with from was all abiut halfa**ing everything. The car vibrated sooooo bad could it have been because the turbo one was installed and it threw it out of balance? If so i want to get the right one i dont want this happening again. Im tired of getting out of the car and having my feet be numb due to tge vibrabeing so loud. It also would hurt you ears as well. Your guys opinion, get the right one or stick with the turbo version?

Internally balanced engines which all the 944 varietys are have balanced internal and external parts. So every piece of good condition within tolerance 944 motor apparel will be balanced 25+ years ago. It might be a good idea to get the whole bottom pulley and gear set from a known good vendor. A matched setup if you will, not to say you cant mix and match it just might help. Also with shaking that bad you probably have bad motor mounts and possibly other rough running issues like your balance shafts 180 degrees out of time? Remember the motor mounts are hydraulic (fluid filled) so the oil comes out and they look ok but engine shakes real bad especially at idle even a good running variety. I have about 7 good sets of these lower gear, pulley assemblys with bolt and large washer. There are a few revisions as they get newer as with most Porsche parts but all mix and match. My 2 cents....

Well the balance belt drive gear witch is the one on the bottom was wobbling really bad it was loose but the bolt was tight. It had always vibrated but it got REALLY bad one day. I poped the hood and saw it wobbling. So im thinking most likely thats why it was vibrating. it had always done that but finally got so bad i was able to visually see it. Im replacing all the rollers belts and seals. I still need the three gears and that balance belt drive gear

If you still need the balance gears, I have a 83 parts engine I'll give you all of them off it with all the bolts (matched set), it also had no power steering. I haven't looked at it in awhile but if all of them are there in good condition I'll pull them off for lets say $150 shipped.
