Manual Brake Conversion Bracket

This is a popular item with the V8 conversion guys. After my turbo kept overheating the booster I decided to give it a go. It works well and maintains a great brake feel.

Selling because I parted the car. All hardware included. $100 shipped.

Does this leave the master cylinder where it is or move it towards the firewall?

It moves toward the firewall about 3-4" I'd guess.

How does the pedal effort and feel compare to factory boosted?

It's noticeably firmer. You end up changing the lever arm on your brake pedal so it requires about the same amount of force as the factory setup. If the V8 guys run them they must work ok.

I have manual brakes with my v8 swap. You can drill a hole I think about 1/2" or 3/4" above the existing hole for the clevis. I did this to mine and have a very firm feel to my brakes. I like it, although I need to make a firewall reinforcement plate, you get a little flex under extreme braking conditions.

OP, nice piece! If I didn't make my own I'd be all over it. Glws

I'll mull this over. Might have a use for it but not sure of immediacy...

It looks to be a very well constructed piece. I would put it up for sale over at 944hybrids, should sell quick. I used a 924 cereal bowl for mine and made an adapter plate to go over it. In fact, I'm going to grab another from the junkyard today.
