How does the turbo cup setup differ from the escort cup series from Bilstein? I might be interested in the whole setup.

The use of the terms "Escort" and "Firehawk" with Bilstein struts and shocks is a current Bilstein marketing terminology to designate different models/valving setups for the 944 series struts and shocks. It is ironic that Bilstein uses those terms, since the Escort and Firehawk cars came with Koni. Must be only for the US market, trying to appeal to name recognition of past US IMSA Firehawk and SCCA Escort racing series.... The Bilstein Escort Cup Struts and Shocks are basically the current version of the Bilsteins that were used on the Euro and Canadian Turbo Cup cars.

The US Escort/Club Sport Turbos and Club Sport 944S's that ran in theEscort Endurance Championship in 86-87 all came with Koni double adjustable suspension. However, they did use the same springs as the Turbo Cups, just with different perches because Koni strut bodies are larger diameter than Bilstein. For the Club Sports/Cups, there is a spring type/rate change between 86 and 87 and later. So the 86 Turbo Cups and 86 Escort cars used the same springs on bilstein and koni shocks respectively. The 87 and later Cups and 87 Escort cars used updated stiffer springs (front and rear), again on Bilstein and Koni suspension.

The 86 Turbo Cup front springs are constant diameter coils and wire, with varying pitch coils - they look very similar to a Weltmeister 200-250 lb/in spring. The rear shocks had a barrel type helper spring which looks the same as the 968 M030 rear spring.

The 87 and later Turbo Cup front springs have a varying coil diameter (they taper in towards the bottom) and the wire diameter also tapers. The rear springs are more of a traditional style spring (not the barrel type), but also have a slight wire diameter taper.

Picture is of the 87 and later Bilstein Turbo cup suspension and springs:
