Any interest in 4.11 R&P with LSD Tranny for Porsche 944?

I am planning to put together a Porsche 944 NA transmission with LSD and 4.11 R&P (Factory is 3.889).

Price ~$1500

PM or e-mail if interested. Thanks!

where would you obtain such a creature?
is there an option to have that R/P without the LSD?

I do have the "creature" already but it needs some modifications to make it work for the 944 series. It will be just like a regular 944 transmission once modified.....but with 4.11 R&P. Non-LSD is an option but I will need more time in order to replace the diff.

Right now it has a well withing spec LSD in it.

Technically, all 944 series transmissions are Audi/VW. This R&P is from a Porsche model though.

That is a crazy cheap price.
I have that transmission and it takes a ton of work to make it right. 944 NA core trany, Factory LSD and "special" 4:11 R&P, new bearings, shims and all kinds of Porsche factory tools required to do it right.

The 81> 924 016/9 gear box had a 20mm main shaft, but it has the 4:11 R & P. So does the Audi 5000.

Thanks. I do have all the tools and parts to make this happen. Don't see much interest though.

This is the best option for a hopped up 944 or 944S2 race car. 4:11 or Albins short gears, but the gears are stupid expensive and almost too short for the car, even with 18" wheels. The 4:11 give better performance across the board and still provides a decent top end speed. I have had both and run the in a 944NA and a 944S2.

I agree with the exception that the ring and pinion are the weak point for the more powerful S2 engine.
